Steps to becoming a recreational cycling coach.

Thanks for taking interest in becoming a recreational cycling coach/instructor. Currently Ride-a-Bike Right is seeking casual contractors to deliver cycling instruction in various sites: in school, within communities as well as private clients.

 

Ride-a-Bike Right (est 2011) is seeking to employ casual Cycling Instructors for our children’s and adult program across Adelaide.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are keen and competent bike riders (for transport, leisure or competition), able to ride with proficient skill and demonstrate these skills to participants in a class environment;
  • Have coaching or teaching experience in either cycling, other sports or School/OSHC,
  • Want to encourage others to ride, and can help learners develop skills;
  • Have a roadworthy bike;
  • Have skills/experience in basic bike maintenance (optional)

Pre-requisites
Instructors are required to (or be willing to attain) provide a copy of one of the following:

as well as:

  • Be at least 16 years of age

Working as part of a team of instructors you’ll be required to teach basic cycling skills to novice and new to recreational/commuting cyclists, specific training will be provided. Our programs are delivered across greater Adelaide; Instructors will need to make their own way to the various school/community venues we work in. School days, school holidays and weekend work will be available on a casual basis.
